Better Mobility Trendreport 2025

The Better Mobility Trendreport 2025 is a collaboration between EIT Urban Mobility, Impact Hub Vienna, and Point&.  

Based on data from 300+ mobility innovations and 100+ experts across Europe, it highlights emerging trends, identifies new business opportunities, and outlines actionable steps for transformation. 

Key findings

• The demographic trend is clear: By 2030, one in four people in the EU will be over 64 years old. However, there are hardly any concrete mobility innovations for an aging society. 
• The EU Accessibility Act requires accessible web stores, ticket sales and information for mobility services from June 2025. 
• Only 5% of the analysed mobility innovations focus on tourism, although this is an important trend. The topic of health is also underrepresented. 
• Increasing urbanization means that over 80% of people in the EU will live in cities by 2050. 

For the Better Mobility Trendreport 2025, mobility practitioners have been interviewed and startups from the Better Mobility Accelerator analysed and surveyed.
